Work Package 5 (Ground Station, synchronisation and high level software)

This work package has been created with the aim of developing the GS module as well as the synchronisation and communication links between the MOBNET system’s modules. Moreover, this WP develops the high level software to display the mission data over GIS data resources.

ORBITAL is the leader for carring out this WP.

The definition of the tasks specified for this WP are the following:

Task 5.1: Ground Station architecture definition and development (GUI)

-This task deals with the definition of Ground Segment architecture including ground antennas set-up, data-link ground systems and ground local area network equipment design for both data chains (Navigation and Payload)..

- Therefore the task leader is ORBITAL.

Task 5.2: Ground System synchronisation, command and control SW development

-This task deals with the specification, design, development and low-level Verification and Validation of MOBNET synchronisation Software modules located which are on ground segment. Furthermore, it also deals with the specification, design, development and low-level Verification and Validation of MOBNET Application Software hosted in Payload Workstations of Ground Segment. This covers the design of application GUI according to Human Factors requirements specified by end-users, as well as the data fusion techniques to display mission data over GIS data resources.

Task 5.3: Ground Station prototype implementation and validation

-This task deals with the integration and validation of the architecture of the Ground Station as well as the communications with the EGNSS and DCT modules and all the SW necessary to be integrated for the MOBNET system.
