Work Package 4 (DCT integration and positioning)

This work package has been created with the aim of researching and developing the DCT module of the MOBNET system. A prototype to locate people under debris or within buildings is developed within this work package, which follows the specifications produced in WP2.

CEIT is the leader for carring out this WP.

The definition of the tasks specified for this WP are the following:

Task 4.1: DCT algorithm design and validation

-This task deals with the definition of ranging and positioning algorithms used in the mobile phone/smart-phone localisation. Simulations of the theoretical results is carried out in this task to test the performance of the DCT subsystem.

- Therefore the task leader is CEIT.

Task 4.2: DCT HW and SW prototyping: implementation

-This task deals with the definition of HW and SW of the DCT subsystem prototype. It is divided in two parallel phases: the HW phase in which the HW is designed and implemented; and the SW phase in which the SW is designed and tested within the HW.

- Therefore the task leader is CEIT.

Task 4.3: DCT HW and SW prototyping: validation

-This task deals with the validation of the HW and SW of the DCT subsystem. Live test is carried out to test the correct performance of the DCT subsystem.

- Therefore the task leader is CEIT.

D4.1: Report on DCT algorithm design and validation.

D4.2: DCT HW and SW prototype.

D4.3: Report on the measurements of the DCT module.
